Mordicus’s Life: Volcano Valley and Islands

One of the four elemental areas is known as Volcano Valley and its islands, home of the fire dragons and dramen.

It lives up to its name by having a giant volcano smack dead in the middle of the valley. The place itself is covered in ash, molten lava, and small pebbles and rocks. The islands were created by the volcano past eruptions.

Hard to live at, right? Not for the residents there. They love being surrounded by those features and needs to be around it for fire or anything hot keeps them alive and going.

The residents, dragons and dramens alike, depend on the volcano and the hotness of the place. They are known to be ‘born’ from the ashes and lava of it, and somewhat dependent on it. Dragons and dramens made homes from the molting lava around them and did a method of cooling them down quickly. Those houses look like regular homes on Earth just dark and have a weird design to them.

Now, let’s talk about the residents. They are in the category of Fire as you may already know. They celebrate the sun and volcano for giving them light and heat with an annual summer festival. Fire dragons and dramens can walk on lava, swim in it, and can take any high temperature without burning alive.

These creatures are fierce, haughty, and sometimes mean when it comes to other elements. They are brave when it comes to situations, but have a tendency of jumping into things with thinking first. They are second when it comes to being brave. They do, however, fear water. They can drink some of it, but can’t jump into a pool, lake, or ocean because they go into a state of shock. Wading in water they can do.

Clothe in red and shades from it they like wearing, the dramens’ skin are tan to a dark color, dragons are any red and dark shade of it and an ash color, and both love to bathe in the sun’s rays. These beings like to practice their fire techniques in some parts of the valley. The fire islanders go there as well and by the end of the day they go back home.

Some history about that area dates back when the fire dragons and dramens on Mordicus had no place to live, so they stayed on the main land. A young, female dragon named Pylori was still on Earth living in a volcano in Pompeii.

She was in love with a fellow human male that she disguised herself as a human in order to talk to him once she ventures down to the village. Pylori always did that each and every day that she wanted to be than just a friend to the human.

The human was willing to be the dragon’s boyfriend, still not knowing who she really was, and soon wanted to marry her. He even made a promise that no matter who or what she is, he will still love her.

Pylori felt confident when he said that and revealed her true identity. The man was scared and horrified to see his beautiful fiancé turned into a terrifying beast. He started calling her horrible names and soon threatened to kill her or send people on her to kill. She ran out, after changing back to a human, scared and angry to her dormant volcano.

Her mixed emotions soon came together to form anger that she caused the sleeping volcano to erupt so violently that smoke reached high into the sky, ashes that fell like snow, and spews rocks. So many people were killed, some were trapped under the hot ashes and in their houses, and others escaped with whatever they had left.

Pylori knew what she have down and fled from the volcano and village. She didn’t know where to go or stay, and just cried before hearing a soft voice calling her. Before the dragon knew it, she was on Mordicus with Serena looking down at her.

The goddess has good intentions for the being and wants her to put her great yet unstable power to work by making a place for the fire dragons and dramens. She sent her to the volcano in the middle of the ocean and ordered her to create some islands.

Pylori did what she told and the volcano erupted causing lava and smoke escape. The lave cool quickly from the water around the volcano and made a solid surface. More were produced and there was enough land for the fire dragons and dramens to walk and live on. Later, islands were produced around the valley.

The dragon was soon titled Guardian of Fire for her knowledge and power of the element, and ruled her valley and island keeping everyone there in line. She soon had a child by a fellow dragon. When Pylori passed, that child carried the title and so on after it passed and its child got it. At this moment, a new Guardian of Fire is Gabija.

The valley and islands are located around the equator of the planet. Since the planet is on a perfect axis and not tilted like Earth's, that area stays warm and hot for the residents. It's also due to the fact that the matter, or 'mist', of the planet in more focused on that area, so the heat gets trapped more from the sun.
Got this part done. Still more to go.
The Fire area is one of the most hottest areas from the rest. The residents don't mind though. Forgot to mention, there are a lot of sulfur there, so it stinks. Thankfully, they know how to clean themselves up when travelling to different places.

Question: If Alex is a fire dramen, would she hibernate in a cold area?
